Anna Pepe Gagliardi

Anna Pepe Gagliardi, age 99, of Ten Mile, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on the morning of August 12, 2025. Born in 1926, she grew up in a flourishing section in Harlem, New York. She was recruited out of public high school to work at a young age as a seamstress and hat-making for high profile people. She later married Anthony Frank Gagliardi and moved to the Whitestone area of Queens, NY. There she spent some of her time working at her father’s pizzeria. With already having two sons, she bought a house and moved to Flushing Queens NY. There she had two more children, both girls. She also became a full-time housewife and homemaker. She was very active in school programs, working on projects, crafts, boy scouts, and trips. In 1977, her family and her moved to Howell New Jersey where her husband, Anthony Frank Gagliardi, relocated as a technician for the Eastman Kodak Company. There, she enjoyed many years as a wife, mom, and full-time homemaker. In 1995, she subsequently moved with her husband to an adult community in Toms River, NJ. There she enjoyed the company of other family members who retired and became her next-door neighbors. She also enjoyed many years at barbecues, having parties and learning the adult community life. In 2025, while battling various health issues and experiencing the devastating loss of her oldest daughter Marian, her husband and her left New Jersey and went to live with her youngest daughter in Tennessee. While there, she got a chance to taste the county life and meet some wonderful people. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mariano and Theresa Pepe; her sister and brother-in-law Stella and John Landi; sister and brother-in-law, Fannie and Micheal Canale, sister and brother-in-law Connie and Phil Lafarro, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Nancy Pepe; brother Nick Pepe and his wife; and daughter Marian Gagliardi. She is survived by her loving husband: Anthony Frank Gagliardi, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Chris Gagliardi, her son Anthony Gagliardi, daughter and son-in-law Anne and Michael Crivelli. Additional survivors include her daughter-in-law Mary Gagliardi, granddaughter Jennifer McDowell, granddaughter Patricia Catozzi, grandson Michael Crivelli II, and 5 great grandchildren: Norma Cahigas, Natalie Cahigas, Daniel Catozzi, Joseph Catozzi, and Colton Catozzi. The burial will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 12:30P.M. with Dr. Andrew Templeton at the East Tennessee State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 200 East Governor John Sevier Highway (Hwy #168), Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, is in charge of arrangements. www.kykerfuneralhomes.com
