Audry Delores Pedigo

Audry Delores Pedigo, 95, of Sweetwater, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 10, 2025, after living a full and long life. She was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church, Sweetwater, which she loved and served for well over 70 years before becoming homebound. Audry was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pedigo, her parents Elbert and Ethel Anderson, her in-laws Jean and Burton Pedigo, and siblings Hazel Dennis, Hulah Gibson, Donald Anderson and William W. (Bill) Anderson. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Vickie and Roy Duncan, Clarksville, TN, Peggy and Eddie Filyaw, Knoxville, TN, and Kim and Jon English, Brentwood, TN. Audry was beloved as “Nana” to grandchildren Allison Filyaw Pinkston, Andrew (Kelly) Filyaw, Aaron Filyaw, Knoxville, TN, Brent (Dorothy) Duncan, Scotch Plains, NJ, and Ross English, Birmingham, AL, as well as much loved great-grandchildren Lee, Samuel, Meghan, and Jack Pinkston, Pierce and Archie Filyaw, Knoxville, TN, and Dylan and Madeleine Duncan, Scotch Plains, NJ, and sisters Delite Grigsby, Wanda Alexander, and sister-in-law Alice Ann Anderson. Audry’s greatest joy was serving others. Whether it was caring for her grandchildren, helping her husband in his business, serving her church, or cooking for her family, “Nana” loved giving. She faithfully cared for her beloved husband until his death in May 2022. She loved the holidays and decorating her house as the family gathered to celebrate. She loved her flowers and took great pride in making everything beautiful. Audry (Nana, Mother) will be remembered for so many things; but the love she had for her family will live through those of us left to cherish her memory. Like the plaque that hangs in her family room, “Strong women raise strong women who raise strong women”. It is with grateful hearts that we thank her faithful and loving caregiver, Staci Sharp, and the special care and attention provided by Adoration Hospice. Audry leaves behind many special friends and relatives whom she dearly loved. In lieu of flowers, donations in Audry’s memory may be made to Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church. A service celebrating Audry’s life will be held in the sanctuary of Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church, 112 Key Kile Rd, Sweetwater, TN 37874, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 1:00P.M. with Rev. Phillip Johnson, Rev. Denny Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. before the service.
