E. Daris Richesin

Richesin, E. Daris--age 70, of Philadelphia, TN, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, went to be with his Savior on Monday, June 14, 2010, at 7:45 p.m. at UT hospital, due to complications following a farming accident. Daris was a member of Sweetwater First Baptist Church & also attended early service at Fenders United Methodist Church where he was a member since childhood. He owned and operated a Dairy Farm in Loudon County until his recent retirement. He was instrumental in founding Fenders Antique Tractor, Engine & Homestead Show Club & was serving as president. Currently, he served on the Loudon County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Daris was elected president of Loudon High School Class of 1957 where he served in that capacity planning & directing class reunions. He was a past president of Loudon County Young Farmers and Homemakers Club, also served on Loudon Farmers Co-op Board, Loudon Soil Conservation Board, and was a member of Dairy Farmers of America, Foothills Farmers Co-op, and Valley Farmers Co-op. He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur & Etta (Wilson) Richesin; brother, Junior Richesin, sister, Ruby Lee Reynolds; infant sister; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Fred and Elizabeth Huffstetler, Brothers-in-law, Jerry Huffstetler, Raymond Hitson, Boyce Norwood. He is survived by wife of 48 years, Mary Alice Huffstetler Richesin; 3 sisters, Frances Norwood of Gatlinburg, Cathryn & Jim Nook of Arizona, & Carol Richesin of Lenoir City; 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Michelle Richesin of Philadelphia, Donna & Aaron Shoopman of Knoxville; Amy & Ritchie Stevenson of Cleveland; & a son & daughter-inlaw, David & Becky Richesin of Philadelphia; 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew & Isaac Richesin, Brendan, Brett, & Blake Shoopman, & Addison Stevenson. He is also survived by sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law,Terry & Helen Huffstetler, Maryville, Dwight & Joan Huffstetler, Barnesville, GA; Larry & Loretta Best, Knoxville, J.D. & Brenda Millsaps, Maryville, Oscar Reynolds. Special mention - Fellowship Sunday School Class at Sweetwater First Baptist. The family will receive friends from 2 until 7 p.m., Friday, June 18, at Sweetwater First Baptist Church with the funeral service immediately following the visitation. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill Johnson, Rev. Larry K. Best, & Dr. Lon Shoopman. Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, June 19, at Sweetwater Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ed Donley officiating.
