Brenda Kay Bivens, age 73 of Sweetwater, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Brenda was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a long-time member of Oakland Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, an amazing mother, and a proud grandmother. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Margaret Barnett Cooley. Sister, Virginia Spurgeon. Survivors included her husband of 53 years, Vance Bivens Son, Brian Bivens and wife Julie. Grandchildren, Dakota Sweat and wife Nora. Brody Sweat and wife Madison. Brothers, Roy Cooley and Terry Cooley. Sister-in-law, Carol Ann Akins and husband Mike. Multiple nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be conducted on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm in Sweetwater Memorial Park, with Rev. Clayton Dunsmore officiating.
