Charles Edward Downs, age 69, of Sweetwater, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at UT Medical Center, Knoxville. He was a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Madisonville. Charles was preceded by his parents: William Jesse and Grace Pearl Skaggs Downs, 2 brothers: Robert Downs, James Douglas Downs, and 2 sisters: Betty Jane Watson, Nancy Jo Downs, special aunt: Jean Pedigo. A funeral mass will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 by Father: Julius Abuh, officiating, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Madisonville. Interment to follow in the Sweetwater Memorial Park.
