James R. Bonine

December 16, 1948 - February 11, 2022

James Ronnie Bonine, 73, of Athens, TN passed away on Friday February 11, 2022. James was born on December 16, 1948, to the late James and Lois Bonine. James was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and the Tennessee National Guard, where he served many tours overseas. In his free time he loved to build many things and he also had a passion for electronics. Of all the things he loved and had a passion for James especially loved God and country music the most. James battled with his illnesses for a long time, but even through all of that he managed to beat covid twice. James is preceded in death by his loving parents, James Lon and Lois E. Bonine; his brother, Ulyess Eugene Bonine; his sister, Rose Marie Edmonds; and his brother-in-law, Mike Edmonds. James is survived by his loving sister Lois Ann and her husband Lonas Cardin. Services will be held at the Sweetwater Memory Chapel on Tuesday February 15, 2022, the family will receive friends from 12-1 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. The burial will be held immediately after the funeral service at the Sweetwater Memorial Park
