Johnny Cornell Brown of Kingston, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday , November 30, 2021. Johnny, affectionately known as “ J.B." was born to John Christopher Brown and Elsie Louise McClendon Brown in Sweetwater ,Tennessee April 23,1956. Johnny was a graduate of Sweetwater High School and was a team member of the 1972 state championship football team. He attended Tennessee State University and eventually earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee. Johnny was known to be the life of the party to his family and friends and was an avid fan of the Florida Gators, Tom Brady, Gunsmoke, and Miss Kitty. He was a 44 year employee as a skilled laborer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents John Christopher Brown and Elsie Louise McClendon Brown. Grandparents, John Henry Brown, Lucille Robertson (Claude)Thompson, Samuel Douglas McClendon and Nellie Carson McClendon. He leaves to cherish his precious memories son Johnathan Brown of Knoxville Tennessee, daughter Amanda (Nick) Blair of Knoxville Tennessee, brother Charles “Kippy” (Deon) Brown of Tampa, Florida, sister Vonessa (Elgin) James of Memphis, Tennessee, brother Gerald Brown of Knoxville Tennessee, sister Veronica Brown of Smyrna, Delaware, brother Samuel (Rhonda) Brown of Knoxville, cousin that was like a brother, Larry McClendon and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, former spouse and special friend Belinda Brown and special friends Allen (Cotton)Upton, Bruce Upton, Allen Payne, and Jim Mullins “Moon Dog”. Services will be held Thursday December 9, 2021 at Kyker Funeral Home 113 West North St. Sweetwater, TN. Family will receive friends beginning Noon until 1PM. Service will begin promptly at 1PM.
