Lena Pearl Stanz, 95, of Loudon, TN passed away on June 1, 2022. Lena was born on March 6, 1927, to the late Hershel and Myrtle Hanley. Lena loved to go out to eat with her sister Carolyn when she wasn’t spending time with her family and friends. She was also an active member of the VFW, both Loudon and Sweetwater, until the age of 91. Lena also had a great love for her fur babies, especially her poodles. Lena is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Myrtle Hanley; her loving husband, Bill Stanz; daughters, Wanda Sue Oody and Lois Hill; and her siblings, William Hanley, Elmer Lee Hanley, James Hanley, and Lois Babington. She leaves to cherish her memories, her sister, Carolyn Hanley Mills; brother, Charles Hanley; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews; and her fur babies. The family would like to give a special thank you to Diane Green for being an amazing caregiver the last 5 plus years. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Sweetwater Memory Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Greg Jameson officiating. The burial will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Sweetwater Memory Park.
