MYERS, REV. MALCOLM - age 79 of Sweetwater, TN, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at his home. His favorite past-time was listening to and playing bluegrass gospel on his mandolin. He was a former member of the Gospel Gateways band. Preceded in death by: sons Randall and Larry; parents Henry and Ada Myers; father-in-law and mother-in-law Homer Levi and Martha Nix; sister-in-law Maxine Brewster; brothers-in-law Homer (Buddy) and Danny Nix, Elmer Gaddis and David Beason. Survivors: Janice, wife of 59 years; son Scott and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren: Josh, Ashley, Grace, Kara, and Keenan Myers, and Cody (Kahlee) and Alex (Megan) McKee; great-grandchildren: Raiden and Ella McKee; brother Clarence and wife Judy; sisters-in-law: Betty Wright (John), Helen Gaddis, and Louise Beason; brothers-in-law Sam Nix (Lynda) and Roy Brewster; several nieces and nephews. Best friend Paul Miller. The family extends sincere appreciation to Adoration Hospice Sweetwater and nurses Rebecca Aikens, Leah Shaklee, Lexi Asher, Sabrina Belcher, and Penny Ratledge for their compassionate care. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. and proceed to the family cemetery at Wildwood Cemetery in Paint Rock for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service and interment with Rev.
