Myrtle Irene Lynn Carter, age 103 of Sweetwater went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2020. She attended Forkner’s Chapel United Methodist Church until her health declined. She was a very devoted Christian. Myrtle was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved everybody and was loved by everybody. Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Carter. Parents, William B. and Mattie Lynn. Son-in-law, Donnie White. Five sisters and one brother. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Patricia White of Sweetwater. Mary and Jim Stanfield of Chatsworth, GA. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends, Monday, November 2, 2020 from 11-11:30 am in Sweetwater Memory Chapel, funeral service to follow at 11:30 am with Rev. Brenda Gentry officiating. Interment will follow funeral service in Hardshell Church Cemetery, Tellico Plains, TN. Sweetwater Memory Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
