Ronald E. Jones, age 83, of Sweetwater, passed away on February 22, 2021. He was a veteran of the US Army, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth and Elizabeth Mickle Jones He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Miriam Joyce Hunt Jones, of Sweetwater; daughters: Karla Davis, of Chalmette, LA and Betty Sasnett, of Apalachicola, FL; stepdaughters: B.J. Renk and Regina (Eddie) Jones, all of Sweetwater; son: Ronnie Wayne (Beckie) Jones, Apalachicola, FL and Michael (Gunda) Jones, of Hanover, Germany; stepsons: Frank (Peggy) Massey, of Leesburg, FL, Robert Massey and Michael Massey, both of Nashville, TN, Vernon (Bridgett) Brown, of Clermont FL; sister: Carol (Buddy) Swearingen, of Bushnell, FL; brother: William “Bill” Jones, of St. Cloud, FL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren The family will receive friends at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. in Kyker’s Chapel with Brother: Keith Wilcox officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021, in the Sweetwater Memorial Park, with full military honors.
