Frances Elizabeth Lineen

Frances Elizabeth Lineen, age 82, of Sweetwater, TN peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Fran was born on November 24, 1943 in Washington, D.C. to Dossey and Lillian Battle, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Peter Lineen. And by her two older brothers, Dossey Battle and James Battle and her older sister Millylou Battle. She is survived by her two older sisters, Lois Beckett and Helene Hill. She is survived by her loving daughters, Kathleen Daggs and son-in-law Donald Daggs of Sweetwater, TN. And Maureen (Lyzz) Lineen of Bremerton, Washington. And her grandson Ryan Daggs of Columbia, Maryland. Fran and her sweet husband Pete enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 45 years in Maryland where they also raised their two daughters. After his passing, she moved to Bremerton, Washington where she lived with her youngest daughter Lyzz. During this time she got to travel more to the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, see the Redwoods and go to Canada. Before moving to Tennessee she enjoyed a family trip with both daughters and families to Arizona. The last four years of her life were spent living in Sweetwater, Tennessee in the assisted living near her eldest daughter. Even though her eyesight and health were slowly declining, she was always happy to go eat at her favorite restaurant, The Cracker Barrel and many other restaurants where she could enjoy a nice glass of sweet tea. She loved Christmas all year round and had a very large snowman collection that always made her smile. She enjoyed cheering on the Washington Redskins and her favorite wrestlers. We used to laugh hearing her yelling at the tv. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson Ryan and all her furry grandbabies. Her loving cat, named Santa, was waiting for her at the rainbow bridge. We would like to give a very special thanks to all the dedicated and wonderful staff at Woods Assisted Living, they became an extra family to her. And the last couple of weeks of her life we thank the caring nurses and staff at Woods Nursing Home. In lieu of a service, her immediate family will be honoring their final wishes to have their ashes scattered together in Tennessee where they had planned to retire together.
